Art One Portfolio

My favorite project was the sparay paint one it was the most exciting for me. It was the best one i made all semester. It was good because i made the stencil and then ended up making the spray painting work. Also i was the only one who had their stencil be the positive space not the negative space. Also my spray painting made the car kind of stand out. It showed off the car really well. it was better than doing a black background becasue then it would have been bland. I felt like it made the car a little better to look at and more interesting to look at since the colors were cool.

My manatee was the one that helped me grow the most. I did one of these earlier in my art career. I got to do it again and this time it was good. this time it actually looked like a manatee. In my previous experiences it didnt look to good at the end. This one i thought was a step up in my art skills. I feel like i got a lot better in art. Even though i ruined it in the painting we did later.

This piece of art showed off my art talent. I also used other techniques i learned from the drawings and the printing project. I made the lizard and stuff look more realistic by adding detail and by adding some three demensional pieces. I also did it for the drawings by adding shading in them. For the prints i carved out some pieces so they would make the manatee not look like one little shape on a piece of paper. It made it look like their was texture to the project.

This project  was AWFUL. nuff said.
But i still need a couple more sentences to explain my disgruntlement. This project was random it had nothing to do with what we were learning. First off we didnt have enough cups. Second the cups we were givin were broken or not the right color. We had to do a face and we were giving red and blue cups.

This picture showed my amazing sense of SWAG. I knew how to make an amzing picture of a car. It was by far my best project. I am a good artist when i try is what this reflects. In order for me to try i need a good idea. Something that will make me want to do this project. i thought of doing the car so i carried it through to the end. I really worked hard on it so i thought this reflected my artistic talent.

Anamorphisis

We changed the perspective to make it easier to draw in 3-D. We used photshop to transform the picture and make it easier to draw in 3-D. We then drew a grid to help get the proportions right. the colored pencils were the most important part of the project becasue it could make your project good or in my case bad.

Spray Paint Art

We used threshold in photoshop on the picture so we could cut it into some paper. When we finished cutting it, it became a stencil we put the stencil on the background and then spray painted it the color of our choosing. i didnt need any collage on the back because i painted over it with blue. i painted it blue becasue i wanted the car to be blue. The positive space and negetive space were in the picture. The positive space was the actual car or the blue part but the negative space is the part i spray painted. the xacto knife supposed to be used to cut away from your hand. The spray paint part was awesome.

2.     How did you add texture and contrast to your print? Is this important? Why?

I added texture by carving out the scars on the manatee and then i added some seaweed and some ocean water
4.     Describe the craftsmanship of your print. (How good the project is technically crafted)

It was technically a manatee but it was not technically crafted very well even though i tried really hard. it was looking pretty good but then i put paint on it and it went south.
6.     Explain your experience with Printmaking. What were the obstacles and advantages?

i did it h grade but ni was awful at it so i didnt do very well in 8th grade.
